Methodology
This page explains how listings work, so you can weigh them for what they are. The goal is to be useful for a real decision, not to rank firms against each other.
What our listings are
Listings are grouped by focus sector, meaning where a firm or platform does its deepest work, not by an overall quality score. There is no single best auditor, only the best fit for your scope. We deliberately place specialists and large generalist firms side by side so you can choose on fit.
How firms are described
- Focus sectors reflect a firm's stated specializations and public body of work.
- Notes are written to be factual and neutral, based on public information.
- Size is a coarse tier (boutique, mid, large) that captures the trade-off between depth and breadth.
What a highlight does and does not mean
A highlight on a row marks a firm we consider a strong fit for a specific specialized scope discussed in the surrounding guide. It signals fit for that context. It is not a claim of overall superiority, and it does not change the order of a table.
No paid placement
We do not sell ranking or placement. Inclusion and position are editorial decisions. If that ever changes, we will say so clearly on the affected pages.
Corrections and additions
The directory is a sample and a work in progress. If a description is wrong, a firm is missing, or details have changed, we want to fix it. See the about page for how to reach us.
